Our puppies are lovingly raised right in our home, where they socialize with people and other dogs daily. They’re also exposed to the everyday sights and sounds of family life—like the TV, vacuum, and general household activity—helping them grow into well-adjusted, confident companions.
Bringing your puppy home is an exciting and special moment, but it’s important to remember that the first few nights can be a big adjustment for them. To help with the transition, your puppy will come with a toy and blanket that carries the scent of their littermates—this familiar smell can offer comfort in their new environment.
It’s best to have a designated kennel or crate for your puppy to sleep in. This space becomes their own little safe haven, offering a sense of security and routine as they adjust to life away from their litter.
It’s completely normal for your puppy to cry during the first few nights. They’re not hurt or scared—they’re simply missing the warmth and presence of their siblings. While it might be tough to hear, letting them cry it out is part of the adjustment process. With time, love, and patience, the crying will fade as they feel more at home and bond with you.
Just remember: they’re okay, and this phase will pass.
Pomskies do shed and require regular grooming to maintain a healthy coat. They typically “blow” their coat twice a year, which means they shed their undercoat more heavily during seasonal changes. To keep your Pomsky’s fur looking its best, use a deshedding tool or a small grooming comb to brush them at least once a week. Regular brushing helps prevent matting, keeps their coat soft and smooth, and supports overall cleanliness.
Starting around 3 weeks of age, the puppies are introduced to puppy pads. This helps them learn to use a designated potty area, and over time, they naturally begin to understand where to go. Of course, accidents still happen—it's all part of the learning process!
Once your new puppy is home with you, it’s important to establish a new potty spot in your own yard. I recommend starting outdoor training right away. Always stay with your puppy during these early trips—they're still getting familiar with their surroundings and can easily wander off or get into something, as they're naturally curious.
Be sure to give lots of praise when your puppy goes potty in the right spot! Positive reinforcement makes a big difference and helps them catch on much quicker as they grow.
Our puppies are feed Pedigree puppy food.
